Germantown Station’s Area Concept Plan imagines new housing, green space, and more
By Danielle Smith
Some big changes could be coming to Germantown Station – and SEPTA wants the community’s input to make them happen. The Station Area Concept explores possibilities for the empty lot at 120-128 E. Chelten Ave, with ideas including mixed-use housing, commercial real estate, and improved streetscapes. Residents can share their thoughts at the Germantown Station Area Concept Open House on March 11 at Joseph E. Coleman Library.

Local developer Ken Weinstein will ask judge to reconsider November ruling about YWCA
By Rasheed Z. Ajamu
Last November, developer Ken Weinstein was denied conservatorship of the long-abandoned Germantown YWCA, but the reasoning behind the ruling remains unknown. Now, he’s asking Judge Ann Butchart to reconsider—and to put her decision in writing. With the property’s fate still uncertain, community members continue to voice support for redevelopment, but questions remain about Act 135’s broader impact. The next court hearing is set for March 11.
Our Work

Community Engagement
Resolve’s Community Engagement (CE) team aims to change the way communities interact with, and are reflected in local news. Our team directly engages with, and broadens the visibility of, communities who have long had limited access to the tools and mechanisms for elevating their own narratives.

Philly Documenters
Public meetings are workshops of democracy, where local policy is shaped, and where residents can witness, learn about, and act on the systems that impact their lives.
We want to put people in the rooms where decisions are made that impact us all.
