    Sixth annual Friendsgiving a ‘thank you’ to Germantown and beyond

    This year’s sixth annual Friendsgiving from Tipsy Cafe & Catering and Das Good Cafe moved into FUMCOG’s dining hall, where Anh and Anou Vongbandith and a crew of volunteers from groups like Reclaim Philadelphia and Power from the Block served 1,000 free holiday meals. Coming just weeks after Anou’s release from ICE detention, the giveback doubled as a thank-you to the neighbors who rallied around their family and a response to what they called a clear need for food support in Germantown.
