Young Germantown neighbor Alex Unterburger and fellow Girl Scouts in Troop 9907 recently earned the Silver Award after creating and leading “Teaching the Tots,” a series of early literacy workshops for children ages 2 to 5. The project paired storytime, songs, letter activities, and take-home books to help families build reading habits before children enter school.
