City Arts Salon’s ‘Soft Life’ exhibition centers Black Joy and Vulnerability
At City Arts Salon, “Soft Life” asks what it means for Black communities to embrace softness, rest, and joy in a city that often demands survival first. The exhibition features visual artists Keshida Layone and Oronde Kairi, whose work explores identity, healing, self-preservation, and emotional well-being through stylized realism.
The show remains on view through June 28 at 5838 Germantown Ave., with an artist talk on June 6 and a closing reception from 2 to 5 p.m. on June 28.
