The Philly Joy Bank is a guaranteed income program providing $1,000 a month to pregnant Philadelphians in select neighborhoods. For Nicetown mom Erica Gaye, it meant escaping abuse, supporting her kids, and finding community during a life-threatening pregnancy. Advocates say Germantown could benefit from the program’s next phase.
