    Chestnut Hill East line weeks away from temporary suspensions for various bridge repairs

    SEPTA is suspending all service on the Chestnut Hill East Line from June 15 to September 2 to rehabilitate five aging bridges between Wayne Junction and Chestnut Hill. Riders are encouraged to plan alternate travel, including using the 23 bus or Chestnut Hill West Line, which will offer extended service.

    New proposed safety plans for Wissahickon Ave. suggest a ‘road diet’ 

    Wissahickon Avenue will undergo safety upgrades after 108 serious crashes in four years. Proposed changes include bike lanes, improved sidewalks, and traffic calming measures. The main focus is on safety for pedestrians, bikers, and drivers, with significant changes like a two-way bike lane and mid-block crash prevention.
