The most popular extracurricular program, for girls, at Mastery Pickett teaches them to be their best selves
Mrs. E. Marie Lambert works the front desk at Mastery Pickett sixth through 12th grades and saw how mean the middle school girls were being after school started in person again after COVID-19 shutdowns. She started the Spilling the Tea mentoring group that meets twice weekly afterschool, teaching the girls how to support themselves and others. Together, the girls discuss hard topics, do interactive programming, and go on big trips, all while feeling safe being who they are and creating a strong sense of community.
