    Germantown opened budget season, reimagining public safety

Neighbors welcomed the news but argued safety won’t last without investment in housing, jobs, and schools—and renewed PILOT contributions from large, tax-exempt institutions. Officials and local groups urged residents to stay involved and connected to services.
